From the very beginning, the moment you think about having a Life Coach, it’s very important to know what you want to gain from the coaching relationship.
You need to be as specific when it comes to the goals and objectives you would like to accomplish, so you and your coach will know what need to be done to make things happen.
To accomplish your set goals what kind of coach you must look for?
As I said before, with so many life coaches around and more and more are getting added every day, picking the right one to work with would be a real challenge. However, it is required that you choose one that can provide guidance in the area you need to work with.
How much are you willing to invest? Not just money alone but time and efforts.
For the coaching relationship to succeed, it is crucial that you are willing to invest time, money, and effort. Even though, you have the best coach with you, you will never accomplish anything if your efforts are half-hearted. From the very beginning, you need to remain committed until you achieve the results you are looking for.
Will you be able to strike an excellent rapport with your coach?
Since coaching process require spending a significant amount of time with your coach, it is crucial that you have an excellent rapport.
Do you approve your coach?
Do you feel like you can trust your coach?
Do you feel you will be able to open up to your coach?
You need to remember that at times you may have to share some personal things with your coach hence, it is far more important that you should work with someone you trust enough to really open up to.
If possible check out whether the same coach could help other clients to achieve the results they wanted to?
If you want to work with someone who is the best fit, do check feedbacks and testimonials to see if they have helped previous clients achieve their objectives.
Don’t just focus on absolute outcome as the outcomes can vary from one client to another. But, testimonials and references can surely help you to evaluate the level of competence your prospective coach has.
